LG’s Guevara Heading to State in Powerlifting

The La Grange High School boys powerlifting team competed at the regional powerlifting meet in Navasota last week.
Junior Erick Guevara is headed to the state powerlifting meet after placing second in the 242-pound weight class.
He lifted 625 pounds in squat, 405 pounds in bench and 485 pounds in deadlift.
Javier Cuevas placed 4th.
Caden Chowdry placed 8th and Frank Gonzalez was 11th. Also competing as regional qualifiers were Ramon Ortiz and Bryan Jimenez.
