LG Track Wins Team Titles at Columbus

The La Grange varsity boys and girls both won the team titles at the Columbus meet Thursday.

The La Grange boys won the team title with 180.5 points over second place Columbus, which had 134. Austen Diggs won the 100 meters in a time of 10.41. Julian Sherman won the 110 meter hurdles in a time of 16.65. Clayton Cooper won the 300 hurdles in a time of 43.74. The Leps won the 4x100 meter relay team of Thai Scott, Jordyn Murray, Austin Diggs and LeKayvion Broussard won first in a time of 52.72. The Leps won the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:32.90. Relay members were Jordyn Murray, Dwodney Thompson, Thai Scott and Le’Kayvion Broussard.

Thai Scott won the triple jump in a time of 40-4.5.

LG Girls

The La Grange girls tallied 184.5 points to beat second place Smithville, which had 126 points. Kylie Trlicek won the 200 meters with a time of 26.46. Macie Collier won the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 17.62 and won the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 49.00 The La Grange 4x200 relay team on Kylie Trlicek, Victoria Harold, Carley Ulrich and Avery Griffin won in a time of 1:49.46. The La Grange 4x400 relay team of Macie Collier, Campbell Cooper, Diamond McKenzie and Avery Griffin won in a time of 4:20.15. Riley Youens won the shot put with a distance of 34-10 and she won the discus with a distance of 98-7.5

Lady Horns

Meredith Magliolo of Schulenburg won the high jump, clearing 5-6.
