LG Team Tennis Squad Grabs First Playoff Spot In Program History

The La Grange Team Tennis squad improved its district record to 4-2 with a 12-7 win over Sealy at the LG courts on Monday night.

With a playoff spot on the line, Leps tennis came through with a big win to secure the first ever playoff spot for La Grange in Fall Team Tennis history.

Leading the charge with wins in both singles and doubles play were Hannah Garrison (Jr), Hailey Gonzalez (Jr), Lukas Lenhart (Fr), Chris Morales (So), Jeremiah Lenhart (So) and Everett Cook (Fr).

“On a very hot afternoon, many matches went the full three sets and LG players showed true grit coming out on top in the majority of those grueling matches,” said coach Chris Westall. “Great job by each and every player in how they competed and displayed composure and sportsmanship,” The Leps’ final match of the regular season will be here on Monday, September 23 at 4:30 against rival Giddings. On the line is the #3 seed heading into the following week’s team tennis playoffs.
