Leps, Horns, Dogs All Fall in the First Round of the Boys Playoffs
The La Grange boys very successful basketball season came to an end with a 81-52 loss to Houston Yates in the first round of the 4A playoffs at Katy’s Merrell Center Monday. It was the second consecutive season the Leps had lost in the first round to Yates.
The La Grange boys end their season with a 25-10 record and were district champs.
Though La Grange was only outscored by one point in the second half, Yates’ quick start (they led 27-9 after the first quarter) and elite quickness was too much to overcome.
La Grange was led in scoring by Nate Scott who had 14 points. Oliver Gunn scored 10. Thai Scott scored eight, Clayton Cooper seven and Devonte McKenzie four. Jeremiah Dillard scored three and Jhase Scott, Cordale Knapik, and Reece Nygren all scored two.
