Down nine points going into the fourth quarter the Lady Leps basketball team nearly pulled off a furious comeback only to fall just short in a 54-52 loss to Navasota at home Friday.
The La Grange girls are now 3-2 in district but their two losses are by a combined three points.
The Lady Leps (18-10 overall) are in third place in District 22-4A and had been scheduled to play at Smithville Tuesday but that game will be pushed back because of the bad weather. The Lady Leps will host Bellville Friday at 5:45 p.m.
