The Schulenburg volleyball team defeated Kenedy in the first round of the 2A playoffs Monday 25-11, 25-10, 25-11.
The Lady Horns improved to 32-11 overall and advance to face Holland in the second round Thursday at 6 p.m. in Caldwell.
Landry Zapalac had 40 assists and 14 digs for Schulenburg. Emmrie Marx had 25 kills and five digs. Haylee Vacek had 10 kills and 10 digs. Clara Magliolo had eight kills. Michaela Kollman had 19 digs and Avery Helms had 12. Reagan Dusek had five kills and Madison Kunschick had eight digs.
