The Leps got a big game from senior quarterback Clayton Cooper, who threw for 190 yards and ran for 139. Running back Da’Von Giscome ran for a team-high 186 yards. Columbus, meanwhile blasted Cuero 65-24. The high-octane Cardinals scored 44 by halftime. TCU-bound senior quarterback Adam Schobel threw for five touchdown passes.

Last meeting: Last season Columbus defeated La Grange 63-28. Cooper threw for 211 yards for the Leps who amassed 521 total yards. Cardinals Ty’Vone Whitehead ran for 214 yards and six touchdowns.
