This year Madisonville started the season with wins over Diboll and Navasota before losing three in a row to Malakoff, Columbus and Center ... Madisonville is averaging 220 yards per game on the ground led by senior running back Phillip Green, who has rushed for 786 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. Madisonville senior quarterback Ty Williams has thrown for 674 yards and five TDs.

Last meeting: In last year’s playoff opener, which Madisonville won over the Leps 55-7, the Mustangs ran for 326 yards compared to just 20 for LG. Clayton Cooper threw for 194 yards and a TD to Julian Sherman.
