La Grange Swimmers Compete in Belton

The La Grange High School Swim Team participated in the Roy and Jean Potts Invitational Swim Meet on November 4th 2023. There were 18 -6A, 5A and 4A and under schools participating. The LHS swimmers placed 9th overall with a combined score of 140. The following are results: Girls 200 Medley relay with Laney Herdler, Kynzee Swafforrd, Elena Supak, and Charlotte Griffin placed 13th with a time of 2:35.46.

Boys 200 Medley relay with Gavin Cook, Dalton Landis, Ben Swisher and John Kasper placed second with a time of 2:07.19.

Girls 200 yard Freestyle with Laney Herdler placed 13th with a time of 2:50.71.

Boys 200 yard Freestyle with John Kasper placed 19th with a time of 2:28.22 and Dalton Landis place 27th with a time of 2:41.29.

Girls 200 yard IM with Celeine Fabre placed 10th with a time of 2:53.93.

Girls 50 Freestyle with Elena Supak placed 22nd out of 50 swimmers with a time of 33.54 and Kynzee Swafford place 24th with a time of 33.86.

Boys 50 Freestyle with Gavin Cook placed 20th out of 77 swimmers with a time of 26.85.

Girls 100 yard Butterfly with Hope Michalke placed 7th with a time of 1:25.34 and Bailey Swisher place 11th with a time of 1:30.84.

Boys 100 yard Butterfly with Benjamin Swisher placed 11th with a time of 1:02.91.

Girls 100 yard Freestyle with Eleanor Carey placed 15th out of 44 swimmers with a time of 1:10.66 and Charlotte Griffin placed 34th with a time of 1:30.90.

Boys 100 yard Freestyle with Chandler Fabre placed 39th out of 58 swimmers with a time of 1:10.45 and Braxton Landis placed 40th with a time of 1:11.22 taking over 10 seconds off his fastest time.

Girls 200 yard Freestyle Relay with Eleanor Carey, Hope Michalke, Bailey Swisher, Celeine Fabre placed 9th with a time of 2:04.31.

Boys 200 yard Freestyle Relay with Gavin Cook, Dalton Landis, John Kasper, and Benjamin Swisher placed 10th with a time of 1:47.51.

Girls 100 yard Backstroke with Laney Herdler placed 19th with a time of 1:30.87.

Boys 100 yard Backstroke with Chandler Fabre placed 22nd with a time of 1:22.21 taking off over 8 seconds from his fastest time.

Girls 100 yard Breaststroke with Kynzee Sawford placed 16th with a time of 1:36.62.

Boys 100 yard Breaststroke with Braxton Landis placed 28th with a time of 1:39.16.

Girls 400 Freestyle Relay with Eleanor Carey, Hope Michalke, Elena Supak and Celeine Fabre placed 6th with a time of 4:57.01.

Boys 400 Freestyle Relay with Gavin Cook, Dalton Landis, John Kasper, and Benjamin Swisher placed 8th with a time of 4:11.37.
