La Grange Swim Team Competes in San Antonio

The La Grange High School Swim Team competed in the 2023 4A TISCA Invitational on November 17 & 18 at the Southwest Aquatic Center in San Antonio.

In Event 1 the Female 200 Medley Relay-The LHS women placed 13th in the finals. Celeine Fabre, Bailey Swisher, Hope Michalke and Eleanor Carey swam a 2:18.56 in the prelims and a 2:19.17 in the finals.

Laney Herdler, Kynzee Swafford, Elena Supak, and Madeline Willrich placed 20th in the prelims with a time of 2:30.05.

In Event 2 Male 200 Medley Relay- The LHS men placed 8th overall in the finals. Oliver Gunn, Hunter Sabo, Benjamin Swisher, and Gavin Cook swam a time of 1:59.31 in the prelims and a time of 1:59.86 in the finals.

Braxton Landis, Dalton Landis, Chandler Fabre, and John Kasper placed 21st in the prelims and swam a time of 2:16.62.

In Event 3 Female 200 Free Madeline Willrich placed 25th in the prelims with a time of 2:46.21.

In Event 7 Female 50 Free Bailey Swisher placed 28th in the prelims with a time of 31.11, Quinlyn Landis placed 36th in the prelims with a time of 32.15 and Hope Michalke placed 43rd in the prelims with a time of 32.76.

In Event 8 Male 50 Free Benjamin Swisher placed 5th overall in the finals with a time of 23.61. Hunter Sabo placed 23rd in the prelims with a time of 26.14. Oliver Gunn placed 54th in the prelims with a time of 29.32. Chandler Fabre took 6.44 seconds off his 50 free placing 56 in the prelims with a time of 29.43. Braxton Landis placed 66th in the prelims with a time of 32.85.

In Event 11 Female 100 Fly Hope Michalke placed 31st in the prelims with a time of 1:29.14.

In Event 13 Female 100 Free Celeine Fabre placed 25th in the prelims with a time of 1:08.15. Eleanor Carey placed 26th in the prelims with a time of 1:08.39. Qunilyn Landis placed 47th with a time of 1:16.05. Elena Supak placed 57th with a time of 1:18.71 and Kynzee Swafford placed 63rd with a time of 1:21.52.

In Event 14 Male 100 Free Gavin Cook placed 24th overall with a time of 1:01.69. Dalton Landis placed 54th overall with a time of 1:09.67. Braxton Landis placed 57th with a time of 1:16.15.

In Event 15 Female 500 Free Laney Herdler took 3.36 seconds off her best time swimming a 7:40.69 placing 25th.

In Event 16 Male 500 Free John Kasper took 1.66 seconds off his best time swimming a 6:53.27 placing 22nd.

In Event 17th the Female 200 Free Relay Celeine Fabre, Madeline Willrich, Bailey Swisher, and Eleanor Carey placed 15th in the finals with a time of 2:02.83. Quinlyn Landis Elena Supak, Kynzee Swafford, and Hope Michalke placed 21st in the prelims with a time of 2:11.58.

In Event 18 the Male 200 Free Relay Hunter Sabo, John Kasper, Oliver Gunn and Gavin Cook placed 21st in the prelims with a time of 1:51.51.

In Event 20 Male 100 Back Benjamin Swisher placed 12th in the finals swimming a 1:07.18 taking off 5.62 seconds off his fastest times.

In Event 21 Female 100 Breast Bailey Swisher placed 24th in the prelims with a time of 1:30.01.

In Event 22 Male 100 Breast Dalton Landis place 39th overall in the prelims with a time of 1:29.16.

In Event 23 Female 400 Free Relay Eleanor Carey, Madeline Willrich, Elena Supak, and Celeine Fabre placed 15th in the finals swimming a 4:41.98. They took off 6.83 seconds off their prelim time.

In Event 24 Male 400 Free Relay Gavin Cook, Hunter Sabo, John Kasper, and Benjamin Swisher placed 18th in the prelims with a time of 4:08.06.
