La Grange Sweeps Caldwell; Other Fayette County Hoops Teams Stay Hot

With a pair of victories Friday in Caldwell, the La Grange girls basketball team clinched a playoff berth and the boys won their 13th in a row to strengthen their district lead.

The Lady Leps won 6322 led by a 24-point night from Kylie Trlicek. The La Grange girls are now 17-10 overall and 7-2 in district with three games left in the regular season. The Lady Leps play Tuesday at Austin Achieve.

Meanwhile, the La Grange boys dominated Caldwell 6240 Friday. The first time these two teams played a month ago the Leps escaped with a one point win, but this time was much different. Cordale Knapik led the Leps in scoring with 19 and Oliver Gunn added 12 as the Leps improved to 22-8 overall and 8-0 in district. The Leps host Austin Achieve Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
