La Grange Softball and Baseball Grab Big Wins Tuesday

The La Grange softball team defeated Smithville 7-4 Tuesday to stay undefeated in district play Alyssa Licconi pitched a complete game for La Grange, allowing five hits and four runs.

Sarah Kay had two hits for La Grange. Haylie Cooper, Marissa Gonzales and Ella Janacek drove in runs for the Lady Leps.

The Lady Leps are now 10-10 overall and 2-0 in district. They play at Taylor Friday.

Leps Win 18-1

The La Grange baseball team pounded Gonzales 18-1 at home Tuesday.

Brayden Horton pitched a complete game two-hitter with seven strikeouts. Max Dixon had three hits and scored three runs.

Brock Loehr, Horton, and Holdyn Cooper all had two hits.

Loehr drove in four runs. Ty Stark and Cooper each drove in two runs.

The Leps have a 7-10 overall record and begin district play Friday at 7 p.m. against Giddings.

Schulenburg Rolls

The Schulenburg baseball team blasted Bloomington Tuesday 15-0 as the Shorthorns improved to 8-8 overall and 2-2 in district.

Connor Lichnovsky struck out 10 and allowed just one hit over four innings.

Connor Fogle and Bryce Stoever each had two hits.

The Schulenburg softball team beat Bloomington 19-1 Tuesday as Kinley Tilleiy pitched a complete game twohitter. Tillery also had two hits, scored three runs and drove in three.

Grace Schramek had two hits and four RBIs.

Flatonia Wins

The Flatonia baseball team defeated Moulton 18-0 Tuesday.
