La Grange Grabs Huge Wins at Smithville

Three weeks after losing to Smithville by one point the La Grange Lady Leps got revenge on the road Wednesday night.

The La Grange girls beat the first place Lady Tigers 61-48, led by a 15-point night from Landri Hernandez and 14 from Campbell Cooper.

The victory drops the Lady Tigers into a first place tie with Navasota, while the Lady Leps now lurk just one game behind with a 4-2 district mark.

The Lady Leps host Bellville Friday at 5:45 p.m.

The La Grange boys overwhelmed Smithville on the road Wednesday 91-8 as Brandon Mathis scored a team-high 18 points.

The victory keeps the Leps all alone in first place in the district standings with a 4-0 record. The Leps are 18-6 overall and host Bellville Friday at 7:15 p.m.
