La Grange Baseball Beats Smithville 6-1

The La Grange baseball team went to Smithville Tuesday and beat the Tigers 6-1 to even their district record at 1-1.

Brayden Horton was the winning pitcher for the Leps, hurling four innings of one run ball with nine strikeouts.

Braxton Dahse pitched three innings of scoreless relief.

The Leps scored five runs in the fourth inning to break the game open.

La Grange ended up drawing seven walks in the game and Smithville also committed seven errors.

Hunter Sabo, Ty Stark and Holdyn Cooper got hits for the Leps in the game.

The Leps host Smithville at 7 p.m. Thursday.
