Krupala Sets New Personal Record at State
La Grange senior Cody Krupala capped of a great high school powerlifting career on March 22 at the THSPA state meet in Abilene, Texas.
He competed in the 123 lb. weight class where he finished 12th overall in the state for his classification. His meet total was 975 which resulted in a personal record (PR) and along the way hit a new PR on squat, bench and deadlift.
“I as a coach could not be more proud of the career Cody had,” said La Grange powerlifting coach Carlos Guevara. “Since his freshman year his goal was to make it to the state meet and he did just that. Our goal at the meet was to have the best meet of his life and he did just that on the biggest stage for the sport in our state. He finishes his powerlifting career as a threetime regional medalist, state qualifier and a legacy of greatness in our program. It was an honor coaching him these past four years and I wish him the best on what is to come.”
Cody plans to attend Texas A&M-Kingsville in the fall.
