Fayette County Helpers (FCH) held a Jumpathon jump rope contest at Sacred Heart Catholic School in La Grange on Wednesday, March 6.
Organizers Karen Forest, Jeff Kelly and Lisa Hayes spoke to the Sacred Heart second grade students about living a healthy lifestyle and how jump rope can build muscles and improve heart health.
FCH awarded medals to the top three students who jumped rope the longest without making a mistake. The top three medalists were 1st place Bailey Tousek, 2nd place Maggie Kleiber and 3rd place Sylvia Shimek.
FCH provided free t-shirts and jump ropes to all of the second grade students.
