Host of Fayette County Golfers Headed to State Tournament

Fayetteville’s Eva Shaw Qualifies for State Fayetteville’s Eva Shaw was the top girls individual State Qualifi er at the Regional Golf Tournament held April 13–14 at ShadowGlen Golf Club in Manor. Shaw posted rounds of 95 and 89, improving on day two to earn the top individual qualifying spot and advance to the state tournament. Baileigh White also competed for Fayetteville, recording scores of 108 and 112 over the two-day event. Shown above is Shaw competing at regionals.

RTC’s Entire Girls Team State-Bound The Round Top-Carmine girls golf team is headed to the state tournament after placing second as a team at regionals this week in Manor. The Cubettes shot a two-day combined 833. Angie Le Bouef shot a two-day 179 to place 3rd individually, Avery Nelius - 193 - 7th place individual, Makayla Smith - 216 13th place Individual, Caydan Nelius - 249 and Alin Soto - 250. Alternates were Morgan Nelius and Georgia Bockman. They are all shown above.
