Harold’s Bounce-Back From Injury an Inspiration for Lady Leps
La Grange basketball player Tori Harold has battled through a lot of adversity with numerous injuries and has become one of the surging team’s leading scorers while doing it. She also was a key player on the volleyball team and played a lot of minutes there as well.
“It’s great to have her back,” said La Grange head girl’s basketball coach Heath Golan. “We missed her definitely last year with the injury she had. We knew she had some talent her sophomore year with the injury last year, so watching her overcome that in both sports has been good. Setbacks are tough for kids to come back from sometimes. She’s handled it about as good as she could and it’s really good to have her back. She’s helping us out in so many ways. Rebounding the ball, scoring, and just her overall demeanor and personality, she’s all about being a team player.”
Harold’s perseverance and ability to still contribute heavily has made her our selection for this edition’s Athlete of the Week.
