Guevera Wins Second At State in Powerlifting

La Grange High School senior Erick Guevara capped off an outstanding high school powerlifting career with an impressive second-place finish at the Texas High School State Powerlifting Meet held in Abilene last week.

Competing in the 242-pound weight class, Guevara delivered an elite performance across all three lifts. He recorded a massive 700-pound squat, followed by a 475-pound bench press, and closed out the meet with a 590-pound deadlift. His combined total of 1,765 pounds secured him the state runnerup title.
