“I’m glad to have the opportunity to play college ball. I went to a college visit and Lamar really stuck out to me. The coaches are very nice. The atmosphere is great. And the girls there were really nice.”

– Marissa Gonzales, about going on to play college softball

“ She’s a great kid. She brought some life to our pitching. She brought the speed we needed. And she can swing the bat. That’s a plus. The guys (from Lamar) came to watch her pitch, and I told them, ‘You need to watch her in the lineup, too.’ She brings a lot of things to the table for whatever role you need her to play.”
