Gardiner Wins $400 Jackpot

There were nearly 200 entries in last week’s Pick-It contest sponsored by Farmers Lumber Company, but only two correctly picked all 10 winners – Randy Gardiner and Bo Janda.

But Gardiner wins the big $400 jackpot, prevailing on the score prediction tiebreaker of the La Grange game.

The Leps beat Caldwell 52-35 and Gardiner was amazingly close on his ballot, predicting a 49-31 Leps win. Janda predicted a 35-10 La Grange victory.

We’ll try to get a picture of Gardiner collecting his winnings in Friday’s newspaper. Meanwhile, this week’s prize goes back to $100. Remember you can fill out as many ballots as you want but no photo copies. And you’ve got to get them to Farmers by 5 p.m. Friday. And remember, every time you play you are entered into the end-of-season grand prize drawing for a zero turn lawnmower from Farmers. Good luck!
