Flatonia Falls as Danbury Scores Late Go-Ahead Touchdown

The Flatonia football team nearly snapped its losing streak, but Danbury had other ideas.

Danbury scored a go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter Friday to beat the Bulldogs 12-10 and send Flatonia to its sixth consecutive loss.

The Bulldogs are 1-6 overall and 0-3 in district as they head into their bye this week.

They won’t return to action until they host Kenedy Oct 25.

Friday the Bulldogs defense limited Danbury to just 163 yards.

Flatonia jumped out to a 10-0 lead in this one on a Beck Zimmerman touchdown run and a 38-yard field goal by Josemaria Garcia. But then Danbury (4-2 overall and 1-1 in district), staged its comeback.
