Flatonia Baseball Update

The Flatonia Bulldog baseball team dropped a district game to Ganado last week by a 0-4 score.

This loss drops Flatonia into second place in their district race, while Ganado stays in first place.

The Bulldogs could not get much offense going, as they were held to just four hits on the night. Singles were hit by the following: Beck Zimmerman, Titan Targac, Henri Vincik, and Rambo Ramirez.

Cale Janecka pitched against Ganado and only gave up one earned run on ten hits, two walks, and had four Ks. Flatonia committed three errors.

On Friday, the Dogs got back in the win column with a 9-1 victory over St. Paul of Shiner.

Targac and Zimmerman teamed up to pitch versus the Cardinals. They gave up four hits, five walks, and had ten K’s.

Targac led the offense with three hits and five RBI’s. One of his hits was a double.

Vincik hit a two RBI single, and Diego Ramirez had an RBI single. Blake Kessler and Zimmerman each hit singles and scored two runs apiece.

On Thursday, the Dogs will travel to Weimar for a 7 p.m. ballgame. The JV teams will play at 4:30 p.m. in Weimar. Then on Friday, Flatonia will play just a varsity game at Shiner St. Paul at 6 p.m.
