Flatonia Baseball Continues Rolling

The Flatonia Bulldogs picked up two victories over the weekend at the East Bernard Tournament.

On Thursday, the Dogs defeated Stafford 12-7. Blake Kessler picked up the win on the mound. He gave up six hits and had eight K’s.

Beck Zimmerman and Titan Targac each hit a double vs Stafford. Targac had two RBI’s.

Saturday, Flatonia picked up a victory over Sealy 9-4. Cale Janecka earned the win on the hill, he gave up four hits and had one K.

Janecka led the Dogs at the plate with three hits. Zimmerman had two hits and scored twice. Tripp Bowling and Diego Ramirez each had two RBI’s. Flatonia lost to Brazosport on Friday by a 1-8 score. Zimmerman took the loss on the bump. The Dogs committed four errors to aid the Exporters. Raymond Toro led the Dogs at the plate with two hits, one of these was a triple.

The Bulldogs won their season opener last Monday, February 26 at home over Gonzales by a 15-5 score in six innings. Kessler earned the win in relief. Toro hit a double, single , and had two RBIs. Targac had three RBIs, while Henri Vincik and Diego Ramirez each had two RBIs.

The Dogs then opened up district Tuesday by beating Bloomington.

They host the Flatonia-Mike Schulze Memorial Baseball Classic over March 7-9. The teams participating this weekend include: Flatonia, Schulenburg, Tidehaven, East Bernard, Port Aransas and the La Grange JV.
