Fenhaus Goes from State Cross Country to State-Ranked Hoops Standout for Fayetteville
Fayetteville basketball player Mason Fenhaus is a guard that knows how to control the floor with the ball in his hands. Fenhaus isn’t only a baller, though. Earlier in November, the sophomore qualified for the UIL State Cross Country Meet. “He’s a great kid,” said Fayetteville head boy’s basketball coach Jake Diggs. “He’s gonna work hard. If you see him, he’s always gonna be in the gym shooting and dribbling at his house. He’s gonna be doing something with a ball in his hands. He’s got a lot of room to grow. He’s a sophomore and comes in and does some good stuff for us. Overall, he’s gonna be a great player for us down the road. Getting him in early in these non-district games, get him a lot of playing time, that’ll be the best thing for him. He’s making good choices.” Fenhaus’ hot start to his athletic career has made him our choice for this edition’s Athlete of the Week.
