The Fayetteville boys basketball team made it to the state tournament for the first time since 1943, in part thanks to the strength of a starting five that are a coach’s dream.

Keagan Supak, Lawson Fritsch, Easton Jaeger, Brody Dooley and Jake Kubala are a group that can score points in bunches, and give opponents headaches with their tenacious defense.

As they head to the state tournament this week at the Alamodome, we’re proud to honor this starting five as our County Athletes of the Week.

“They are a special group of guys. They show up every day ready to work and it’s been a joy to coach them,” said Fayetteville head coach Jake Diggs.
