The Fayetteville baseball team is headed to the regional finals after destroying Knippa Thursday in a third round doubleheader 10-1 and 15-0.

In the 10–1 win Kandon Kaspar and Dylan Henneke combined on the pitching effort and Henneke had three hits. Jack Schley doubled and tripled and Kole Schmitt had two hits.

In the 15-0 win, Schley pitched three-innings of no-hit ball and Schmitt pitched two scoreless innings in a game called early because of the mercy rule. Schley homered and Schmitt had three hits. Henneke had two hits.

The defending state champion Lions (10-5) now advance to face Medina (14-7), which swept Round Top-Carmine in a best-of-three series last week.

The details of the Fayetteville/ Medina series were not finalized at press time.
