Fayetteville Baseball Marches On

The Fayetteville baseball team demolished Medina 18-0 Friday in the their regional quarterfinal baseball playoff game.

The Lions scored in every inning of the five-frame affair. They really broke the game open with eight-run fourth inning.

Jack Schley had three hits and scored two runs. He also pitched three scoreless innings, striking out five.

Keagan Supak had two hits and scored twice. Easton Jaeger had two hits, two RBIs and scored three runs. Chance Konvicka had a hit, scored twice and drove in two. Enoch Loafman and Lawson Fritsch both scored twice.

Friday’s victory improves the Lions record to 13-4 overall and they now advance to play Menard in a three-game regional semifinal series. All games are in Lago Vista. Game 1 is Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. with Game 2 to follow 30 minutes after Game 1. If needed, Game 3 would be Saturday at 4 p.m.

The winner of this series advances to play the D’Hanis/ Bruni victor for the regional title.
