Fayette Co. Volleyball Teams Go 5-1 on Opening Night

The La Grange varsity volleyball team lost its season opener to Weimar 17-25, 24-26, 18-25 Tuesday at home.

Kills leaders for the Lady Leps were Carley Ulrich - 10, Kylie Trlicek - 6, Brion Williams - 5.

16-25, 23-25.

La Grange Flex defeated Weimar

25-2, 25-9.

The Varsity Lady Leopards will compete in the Columbus Classic Thursday-Saturday and the Flex and JV teams will compete in the Schulenburg Tournament on Thursday and Saturday.

Fayetteville

The Fayetteville volleyball team smashed Hempstead in their season opener Tuesday, winning 25-12, 25--

13, 25-17.

Lainey Gromaski led the Lady Lions in kills with 11. Cambree Denham had four and Tara Vitek had three.

Devynn Moeckel led the team in aces with six and Aubrey Muzny had five. Denham had two blocks.

Emily Keilers had seven digs and Ava Joy Aldape had five.

Scotti Beseda led the team in assists with 16.

Schulenburg

The Schulenburg volleyball team defeated East Bernard in four sets in their season opener Tuesday 25-20,

23-25, 25-19, 29-27.

Emmrie Marx led the team in kills with 25. Haylee Vasek had 15 and Reagan Dusek had six.

Dusek had five aces.

Michaela Kollmann had 38 digs, Avery Helms had 14. Madison Kunschick had 12, Landry Zapalac had

11 and Haylee Vacek had 10.

Zapalac had 49 assists.

Flatonia

The Flatonia volleyball team swept both Sacred Heart Hallettsville and Rice Consolidated in a pair of season opening matches Tuesday.

Round Top-Carmine

The Round Top-Carmine volleyball team beatAnderson-Shiro 25-17,

19-25, 28-26, 26-24 in a thrilling season opening match for both teams.
