Dogs, Lady Leps Keep Rolling
The La Grange softball team went to Smithville and defeated the Lady Tigers 5-1 Saturday morning.
La Grange’s Alyssa Liccioni pitched a complete game one-hitter with five strikeouts.
Avery Marshall had two hits and two RBIs for the Lady Leps. Haylie Cooper, Liccioni, and Sarah Kay had the other hits for La Grange which improved to 14-11 overall and 6-1 in district with the victory.
The Lady Leps host Taylor Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Leps Fall at Taylor
The La Grange baseball team went to Taylor and lost to the Leps 13-3 Saturday as La Grange drops to 9-10 overall and 3-2 in district play. The Leps host Caldwell at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Lady Horns Win
The Schulenburg softball team defeated Flatonia 15-4

Friday as the Lady Horns improved to 12-9 overall and 6-4 in district. Flatonia fell to 4-7 in district.
Schulenburg catcher Mikayla Stang homered and drove in two runs. Hailey Kahlden had four hits, including two triples. Fay Kutac tripled and Toree Bohlmann doubled.
Lady Horn freshman Kinley Tillery had four hits and pitched a complete game seven-hitter. Flatonia’s Katie Templeton had two hits.
Lions Fall
The Fayetteville baseball team lost a pair of games to Mumford last week, falling 8-0 Tuesday and 4-0 Friday. Tuesday the Lions were nohit and struck out 13 times in the loss. Friday Jake Kubala got the only hit for the Lions and Kole Schmitt and Chance Konvicka combined on the pitching effort. The Lions are now 5-3 overall.
Bulldogs Roll
The Flatonia Bulldog baseball team (15-2) defeated the Schulenburg Shorthorns 10-0 last Friday night in Flatonia.
Titan Targac pitched a gem in the six-inning complete game. He gave up just one hit, two walks and had fifteen K’s.
Flatonia scored five runs to take the lead during their half of the second inning. Rambo Ramirez started off the scoring with a two out RBI double. Cale Janecka and Targac both followed with RBI singles.
Blake Kessler added a RBI single in the third inning to stretch the lead to 6-0 after three. Diego Ramirez got a RBI during the fourth on an infield ground out to short.
The Bulldogs would score their last three runs during the sixth inning to finish off the ten rule game. Targac hit an RBI double and Tripp Bowling had an RBI single. Diego Ramirez would score the last run by coming in on a passed ball. Janecka and Targac would lead the offense with three hits apiece. Rambo Ramirez added two hits.
