Branch 5th at Powerlifting Regionals

La Grange High School had four girls compete at the THSWPA Region 5 Class 4A Div. 2 Regional powerlifting Meet at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg this week.
The following girls competed and here is how they finished in their weight class.
• Kimber Austin 97 lb weight class finished 7th.
• Jazzmin Coleman 165 lb weight class finished 10th.
• Ewalany Gonzalez 220 lb weight class finished 10th.
• Teagan Branch 198 lb weight class finished 5th.
“Very proud of the girls as they all hit new personal bests and Teagan capped off a great senior year by taking home some hardware and finding a place on the medal stand with 5th place,” said La Grange powerlifting coach Carlos Guevara. “Coach Williard and myself have been so proud of these ladies this year along with the rest of the team and are excited for what the future holds.”
Boys powerlifting update:
The boys had two qualify for the regional meet that takes place on March 7th. The following lifters qualified: Cody Krupala and Erick Guevara.
