Boys Hoops Playoffs Begin This Week for Trio of County Teams

The boys start their playoffs next week:
• The La Grange Leopards open the playoffs Monday at 7 p.m. in Brenham against Brookshire (13-18). The Leps are 23-9 overall. The winner of that game advances to play the Gateway Prep vs. Waco Connally winner.
• The Flatonia boys play Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Giddings against Holland. The winner advances to play the Hearne/Sabine Pass winner.
• The Fayetteville boys play Monday at 7 p.m. against Waelder in Columbus. The winner of that game plays the Utopia/Lasar winner.
The No. 7-ranked Lions beat Bellville 74-66 in a warm up game Friday.
