Bellville Heads to State Title Football Game

Bellville stopped a late two-point conversion try by Wimberley to win their state semifinal football game Friday 35-33. D.D. Murray, Sam Hranicky and Corrian Hood combined for four TDs and 267 rushing yards. The Brahmas (15-0) join the 1960 and

1977 Bellville teams as the only ones in school history to make the state title game. Bellville has never won the title. Bellville now faces Gilmer Friday at 3 p.m. for the 4A Div. 2 state title.
