Baseball/Softball Round-Up
The Fayetteville baseball team beat Moulton 16-0 Tuesday. Kandon Kaspar and Kole Schmitt each pitched two innings of one-run baseball. Mason Fenhaus had three hits, including a homer and a triple and drove in four runs. Jason Halfmann and Dylan Henneke each had two hits and two RBIs. Jack Schley doubled and drove in three runs. The Lions are 5-4 overall.
The Schulenburg baseball team improved to 21-4 overall this season with a 16-1 win over Bloomington Tuesday. Owen Brenek had two doubles and drove in three runs. Landon Conner had two hits and five RBIs. Nick Goode pitched a complete game onehitter with six strikeouts.
SHS Girls Sweep
The Schulenburg softball team swept a doubleheader against Bloomington Tuesday 15-0 and 20-5. In the 15-0 victory Kerr McBride pitched a complete game one-hitter and she also hit a triple and a double. Kinley Tillery also had two hits. In the 20-5 win, Tillery had three hits, including a homer and a triple. The Lady Horns are now 7-13 overall.
Lady Dogs Win
The Flatonia softball team improved to 12-5 this season with a 9-6 victory over Weimar Tuesday. Jalee Trussell pitched a complete game for the Lady Bulldogs and she had four hits, including two doubles. Brynlee Zimmerman also had four hits, and Kara Croyle had three.
Weimar Beats FHS
The Flatonia baseball team lost to Weimar Tuesday 10-9 in eight innings. Brady Janecka had three hits for Weimar. Caysen Perez had three hits for Flatonia.
