Bellville Sweeps LG Baseball/Softball
It was a tough night in Bellville for La Grange on the diamond Tuesday.
The La Grange baseball team lost 7-2 at Bellville Tuesday to fall to 8-7 overall and 0-2 in district. Ryder Klesel and Baylee Abbey each had two hits for the Leps.
Colt Jobb and Eli Gillum scored the two runs for the Leps. Jonah Ehler and Jobb combined on the pitching effort for La Grange.
The Leps play at Giddings Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
The La Grange softball team dropped to 0-4 in district with a 7-6 loss at Bellville. It was the third consecutive district loss by one run for the La Grange girls. Iylah King hit a double and a triple.
Kylin Brawley and Haedyn Cooper each had two RBIs.
The Lady Leps are 10-111 overall.
The La Grange girls play Saturday at Giddings at noon.
Lady Horns Blast Louise
The Schulenburg softball team blasted Louise 17-2 Tuesday as the Lady Horns improved to 4-9 overall and 1-5 in district.
The Lady Horns drew 15 walks and Aubryn Janda hit a double. Brenley Bujnoch had five RBIs and Grace Schramek scored three runs.
Kerr McBride pitched a complete game four-hitter with five strikeouts.
Ganado Beats Flatonia in baseball
The Flatonia baseball team lost at Ganado Tuesday 6-0. Kullen Kutac got the only hit for the Bulldogs. Diego Ramirez and Zayden Perez combined on the pitching effort for Flatonia, which fell to 5-7 overall and 3-2 in district.
Flatonia Softball Falls to Ganado
The Flatonia girls softball team lost at Ganado Tuesday 9-0 to fall to 6-4 overall and 3-3 in district. Brealey Nieto had the only hit for the Lady Bulldogs against Ganado hurler Saylor Bures.
Presley Cliffe pitched a complete game for Flatonia, striking out seven.
Mumford Sweeps DH versus RTC
The Round Top-Carmine baseball team (2-6) dropped a doubleheader to Mumford Tuesday, losing 10-0 and 120. The Cubs had one hit in each game by Facundo Cerda and Miles Neese.
Fayetteville Baseball Falls to 0-3
The Fayetteville baseball team lost to Shiner Tuesday 10-0 to fall to 0-3 this season. The Lions had three hits, two by Kandon Kaspar and one by Dylan Henneke. Jack Schley pitched five innings for the Lions, allowing six runs but only one was earned. He struck out nine.
