The La Grange softball team lost its second consecutive district game by a 1-0 score with a setback at home Friday to Bellville.

Brooke Ulrich pitched a complete game four-hitter with 11 strikeouts and only allowed a single unearned run in the fourth inning.

La Grange managed just four hits against Bellville pitcher Ella Buenett.

Iylah King, Abby Cernosek, Kylin Brawley and Haedyn Cooper had those hits for the Lady Leps, who fell to 11-9-1 overall and 0-3 in district this season.

The Lady Leps play at Bellville Tuesday.

LG Baseball Loses

District Opener

The La Grange baseball team had its four-game win streak snapped Friday at home in a 6-0 loss to Bellville in the district opener for both teams.

Tristan Ulrich pitched the first six innings for the Leps, giving up five runs (but only two were earned). Colt Jobb pitched the seventh for La Grange.

The Leps only managed five hits against Bellville starter Matthew McGowan. Dalton Janacek had two of those hits, including a double. Eli Gillum doubled and Ryder Klesel and Jobb had the other two hits.

The Leps, now 8-6 overall, play at Bellville Tuesday.

RTC Crushes

Milano 13-1

The Round Top-Carmine baseball team beat Milano 13-1 Friday to avenge a loss to them earlier in the week.

Will Neese pitched a complete game two-hitter for the Cubs with eight strikeouts.

Will Neese, Carter Marburger and Miles Neese all had three hits for RTC and Kash Wessels had two.

Schulenburg Boys

Keep Rolling On

The Schulenburg baseball team beat Bloomington 17-0 Friday to improve their record to 15-3 and 5-0 in district Connor Lichnovsky and Ian Reeves combined on a nohitter.

Lichnovsky also hit a double and a triple and drove in four runs. Jayse Janda had three hits.

Flatonia Boys

Fall to Weimar

The Flatonia baseball team lost to Weimar Friday 12-3.

Weimar’s Bryce Christen and Trey Billeck combined on the pitching effort for the Wildcats.

Kullen Kutac and Max Richter pitched for the Bulldogs. Richter had two of Flatonia’s five hits.

Lady Bulldogs

The Flatonia softball team lost to Weimar 13-0 Friday. Weimar’s Alazay Moreno pitched a complete game twohitter.

Presley Cliffe pitched for Flatonia. Emma Kosler and Keilani Mendez had the only two hits for the Lady Bulldogs, who are now 6-3 overall and 3-2 in district.

Fayetteville Falls to 0-2 in Baseball

The Fayetteville baseball team dropped to 0-2 this season with a 12-0 loss to Thrall Friday.

Kandon Kaspar, Dylan Henneke and Kole Schmitt combined on the pitching for the Lions.

Schmitt had the only hit for Fayetteville.
