Fayettville Beats Shiner
The Fayetteville baseball team defeated Shiner 4-1 Tuesday as the Lions improved to 5-2 this season.
Jack Schley pitched five innings of one-run ball with nine strikeouts.
Chance Konvicka pitched two innings of scoreless relief.
Offensively the Lions were led by Easton Jaeger, who had two hits and scored a run. Schley hit a double. Konvicka and Kandon Kaspar also had hits for the Lions.
Flatonia Beats Ganado
The Flatonia baseball team (10-3-1 overall) stayed undefeated in district play with a 7-3 win over Ganado Tuesday.
Beck Zimmerman pitched a complete game four-hitter with 10 strikeouts.
Caysen Perez had four hits and two RBIs. Diego Rameriez and Yandel Manzano each had two hits. Zimmerman hit a double.
Schulenburg Blasts Louise
The Schulenburg baseball team blasted Louise 22-0 Tuesday.
Pitchers Connor Lichnovsky and Owen Brenek combined to no-hit Louise, strikeout out nine of the 10 batters they faced.
Reid Janda, Cooper Demel and Owen Brenek each had two hits and three RBIs.
Ian Reeves drove in three and scored three times.
