Church News

Pastor John David Nedbalek led the June Bible Study at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, on Thursday morning June 4. The discussion covered compassion, mental health, feelings, different perspectives and experiences. Depression is a mental health condition affected by life circumstances, loss, illness, isolation and loneliness or even sometimes when there is no reason to be sad. Some of the problems from the pandemic are still around.

Sherry Pennington presented information about the car show in Carmine supporting the RTC education foundation. Kathy Schatte served as hostess. The next study will be July 11. Everyone is invited.

The ladies of Ruth Circle are asking the congregation to begin collecting plastic bottle caps from water or soda bottles, empty pill bottles with lids, aluminum pull tabs (pop-tops), and glasses and glasses cases. Collection containers will be set up on the kitchen counter in the education building.

All members of Crossroads Shared Lutheran Ministry are asked to consider becoming a volunteer for either Second Chance in La Grange, AMEN Food Pantry, or the Waldeck Food Truck. Contact Sherry Pennington at (512) 626-5754 or send an email to sherrypen@icloud.com if you are interested in helping out.
