Enjoy a Wine Dinner, featuring Caymus Vineyards Wine, all in support of The Red Door Fund for Mental Health. Thursday, Sept. 19, join the community for an evening of wine and conversation. You’ll learn more about this group, as well as meet other local organizations working to address the mental health needs of our community. 3rd Annual Rock the Halls 

The third annual “Rock the Halls” event will be held at the Round Top Dance Hall Saturday, Sept. 21, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Performers from Howl at the Moon will serenade guests with all of the best party hits. This live dueling piano show is one you don’t want to miss – and it’s all in support of the Ride to End Alzheimer’s, Round Top Family Library, and the Round Top Area Historical Society. Square Fair Vendors 

Don’t forget to submit your application to be a vendor at The Square Fair during the Fall 2024 Antiques & Design Show. The Square Fair runs Oct. 10-27. If you are an artisan of handcrafted jewelry, clothing, jams, jellies, wind chimes, soaps, or pottery, now is your chanced to shine. Round Top-Carmine ISD 

Students have an early release on Friday, Sept. 20. Parents, report cards will be sent home and posted to the Parent-Portal Thursday, Sept. 26.

Shrimp Boil

Car & Truck Show

Round Top Rifle Hall 

The Monday Night Hamburger Social takes place the first, second, and third Monday of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Schutzenfest 

The community celebration for Schutzenfest will be this Sunday, Sept. 15. Hall doors open at 3 p.m., followed by live music by the Round Top Brass Band at 4 p.m. The new “Koenig” will be crowned at 5 p.m., along with the ceremonial keg tapping. Enjoy a free dance from 5:30-8 p.m., with music by Gary Kunkel and Friends. A chicken fried steak meal will follow at 6 p.m.

Oktobierfest 

Save the date for Round Top Rifle Hall’s annual Oktobierfest on Saturday, Oct. 26. More information to come. Visit roundtoprifle.com for more information on these or any future events.

Festival Hill 

Saturday, Sept 21, Mariachi Aztlan will be a part of the August to April Series, in celebration of Mexican Independence Day. This national award-winning mariachi ensemble hails from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Tickets are available for purchase at festivalhill.org. Round Top Family Library Itch your creative bug in Art after School on Tuesdays for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. This is in partnership with ARTS for rural Texas, so you know it’s good. Wednesdays is Ballet for grades Kindergarten, first, and second. Junior Master Gardener Kids Garden class meets Wednesday for fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. Church News 

The Western Cluster Fall Gathering will be Saturday, Sept. 28 at St. John’s in Warrenton. Confirmation students meet Wednesdays at 4:15 p.m.

The Bethlehem Lutheran Church Ruth Circle met Thursday morning, Sept. 5, led by Pastor John David Nedbalek. The group discussed what it means to live faithfully in these uncertain times, and covered several very controversial questions. Church is a human community and is a part of the body of Christ. This means we all need God’s grade and forgiveness. Graces comes with the power of God acting in us whenever, and wherever we need it. Jeanette Schoenst was the hostess. The next study will be Oct. 3, and will cover Ephesians.

Mass at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton are held the first Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on theAltar. For more information, visit stjohnfayetteville. com/st-martin.
