Where on the Square? Contest

May is Historic Preservation Month and as part of that effort, La Grange Main Street is holding a contest to help locals better appreciate the architectural features that are preserved in the downtown business district. Look at the close-up picture on the left and if you think you can identify where this is, cut out this entire box, fill out the below information and return it to the La Grange Visitors Bureau Building located in the Historic Casino Hall (254 N Jefferson St.) during regular business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) before this Friday.

On Friday all correct answers will be placed in a drawing for a prize provided by Main Street and the Visitors Bureau. Next Tuesday we’ll print the winner along with the next week’s contest. Enter as often as you’d like.

This Week’s Prize: Gift certificate to Bodega. Last Week’s Winner: Melody Moerbe’s name was drawn from among the entries that correctly identified the 1914 cornerstone of the Sunflower Bank building at the corner of Main and Colorado Streets.

• An additional grand prize will be awarded at the end of the month that will be drawn from all of the correct guesses received.
