Weeren Honored for 65 Years as a Mason

At its regular monthly meeting on September 6, 2022, La Fayette Masonic Lodge No. 34, AF&AM, recognized Ed Weeren, now residing in Austin, for his having been a faithful member of the lodge for 65 years. Carlos Morino, left, the District Deputy Grand Master for Masonic District 33 of the Grand Lodge of Texas, presented a framed certificate to Ed Weeren who was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on March 14, 1957. Ed Weeren, born and reared in La Grange and a 1954 graduate of La Grange High School, continues to maintain a home and business and other contacts with La Grange and the lodge.
