Warda Farm Bureau Annual Family Night Set Friday

The Warda Farm Bureau will have its annual Family Night and Scholarship Presentation on Friday, June 21 starting at 6 p.m. at the Holy Cross Warda picnic grounds. Scholarship presentation will be at 7:15 p.m. Meal tickets for members are $10 each, nonmembers are $15 each. Drinks will be provided. Members may bring a dessert to share.

Community Baseball 

Serbin will play Shiner at Serbin on June 23 at 3 p.m. Last week Serbin Beat New Ulm 10-0.

Faith Lutheran High School Faith Lutheran High School is raising funds to purchase a bus to help transport students to extracurricular activities and events. They have already made significant progress and ask that you consider a donation to help them finish raising the needed funds to move forward with this project.

Faith Lutheran High School June and July office hours will be Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Golf Tournament was postponed due to weather. The new date will be Saturday, June 29 at Frisch Auf! Country Club in La Grange. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. and an afternoon flight. Visit their website for more information.

TWHS Scholarship 

The Texas Wendish Heritage Society Scholarship Program is now open. This scholarship program is available to students of Wendish heritage. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school for Fall 2024 semester.

Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross will be held Thursday, June 20 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo, dominoes and board games are offered.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Sunday June 23 the Bible Study after church will have guest speaker, Deaconess Sandra Rhein, who currently serves as a sacred music educator based in Taiwan. Her work promotes the proclamation of the Gospel using the highest forms of art available to the church.

The midweek morning Bible Study at Holy Cross in Warda is Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
