Wanted Federal Fugitive Arrested After Trying to Flee on a Motorcycle in LG

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 28, the Fayette County Narcotics unit received information about a wanted subject with an active federal arrest warrant staying in the La Grange area. The information received indicated that the subject was known to be armed and dangerous. The narcotics unit located the subject staying at the Carter Motel.

While arriving on scene deputies observed the subject leaving the motel on a motorcycle and initiated a traffic stop. The subject attempted to evade on the motorcycle but quickly realized he was boxed in by responding units and abandoned the bike to attempt running on foot. The subject was promptly taken to the ground and physically restrained while a pistol and several knives were removed from his person.

Christopher Deborde of Sealy was taken into custody on the arrest warrant.
