If you haven’t checked out the Muldoon Museum yet, be sure and stop by and check it out. Saturday, May 3 is your chance to see what made Muldoon. There are all sorts of fun artifacts in the museum: everything from articles on the community to quilts to tools from the farms and the railroad. The museum will be open 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Don’t miss the chance to visit with those who man the museum and have some very interesting stories to tell.

Out and About

Devon Boehnke, Dana and Darrell Kulak and Erica Field traveled to Magnolia to celebrate Easter at Devon’s oldest daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Jack Field’s home. They were joined by the majority of the family for a wonderful day of feasting and catching up. Devon was very happy to celebrate Easter with all nine of his great grandkids. They all enjoyed snow cones and a bounce house all courtesy of the littles great-grandmother, Virginia Tappe. It was a wonderful day. Everyone had a wonderful time.

James, Bobby and I traveled to San Antonio to enjoy Easter at Jan, Jarvis and Cami Anderson’s home. We were joined by Judy and Kendall Jordan and their kids Cameron and Elizabeth. It was a nice day of catching up and eating fajitas.

Jennifer and Clay Rightmer hosted their family Easter celebration that began on Thursday with the arrival of daughter, Lane Rightmer from Waco, and continued to grow with the arrival of Jennifer’s sister Julie Zavala on Friday. The weekend was a buzz of activity getting ready for the big Easter meal on Sunday.

Weather

On Wednesday morning a thunderstorm blowing through in the early morning. Amounts of an inch and more were reported. This was some much-needed moisture as the pastures were beginning to brown up as the moisture levels were dropping. With the rain, things have greened up a lot and it once again looks like spring in the area. The water has already soaked in and awaiting the next shower.

Illness in Area

There are a number in the community who are suffering from the spring pollen and allergy effects. There is also a respiratory bug that has continued to linger on. Be sure and check on your neighbors and make sure they are OK and don’t need a little help.
