Veterans Honored in Warda

Holy Cross Ladies Aid held a Veteran’s Dinner and Program on Thursday, Nov. 10 to honor all of the congregations Vets. A wonderful chili dinner was enjoyed and the local Trail Life Group TX-0143 did the Presentation of Colors.

Holy Cross Cookbooks

If you are looking for a unique Christmas gift, don’t forget that the Ladies at Holy Cross Lutheran Church have their cookbooks for sale. Books are $15 each and can be purchased from the church office, or contact Lisa Gay at (979) 2186000. They also sell made in the U.S.A. RADA Cutlery yearround. They have RADA paring knives, steak knives, tomato slicer, peelers, knife sharpeners, serving spoons, spatulas and more. These make great gifts and are available in the church office. Boxes of Christmas cards are also now available in the new Narthex.

Instrumentalists Wanted

Holy Cross Lutheran in Warda is planning for their 150 year Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, April 23, 2023 and are looking for instrumentalists to participate in the celebration. If you are interested, please contact the church office at (979) 242-3333.

Holy Cross Bible Study

The Bible Study Group at Holy Cross Lutheran in Warda is finishing up their current study and will take a break until the New Year. Watch for information, coming soon, about their new study in January.

Holy Cross Services

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Thanksgiving Eve Worship will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m.

Faith Lutheran High School

FLHS currently has 16 students for the 2022-23 school year. If you have an 8th grader and would like to schedule a visit contact Mrs. Nikki Kueck at (979) 242-2889 or visit their website at: www.flhstx.org Everyone is invited to join in the weekly Chapel Worship Service every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.

The archery team will have competitions from November to January. Basketball practices have begun and schedules will be coming soon.
