Turtle Wing Foundation To Host Special Education Training for Parents

As a parent of a child with learning challenges, navigating Special Education can sometimes feel overwhelming. Turtle Wing Foundation wants to help.We will be underwriting a Special Education Parent Training on Saturday, July 16 from 9:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m. at the God’s Embrace Conference Room at 2911 FM 2672 Schulenburg.

This free workshop will be facilitated by Brenda Nelson, parent support provider for Turtle Wing Foundation.

Topics include: Knowing your parent rights, understanding ARD paperwork, student introduction portfolios, related services and what that means, preparing for the next stage, tips for preparing for an ARD meeting, and the back to school checklist.
