Texas Women’s League Grants $80,000 To County Charities From Its 20th Annual Gala
The Texas Women’s League hosted its 20th annual Spring Gala on Saturday, March 4, 2023 to raise money for local charities in the community. Every dollar raised is donated directly to local 501(c)3 organizations that have been in operation for one or more years. This year, 34 charities in Fayette County applied for funding.
Since 2004, the Texas Women’s League has funded over $1.5 million to local charities. This was made possible with the support of sponsors, donors, members, and gala attendees.
Gale sponsors include: Harry W. Bass Jr. Foundation, Mark A. Chapman Foundation, Lazy Q Ranch, Municipal Energy Resources Corporation, McCourt Equipment, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Reichert, Henkel Square Round Top, HEB, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, Drs. Keilers & Keilers, MS Society, The Bloom Bar, Ashley Bishop LCSW, Pop-A-Top Bottle Shop, and Fixpatrick’s Garage.
In addition to these sponsors, the TWL thanks all who contributed at the gala via the online silent auction and live auction or by donating their time to help make the gala a success.
This years TWL officers and board of directors are: Tiffany Reid, Jennifer Meaders, Ashley Abbey, Haley Cernoch, Ashley Bishop, Mindy Davis, Melanie Lira, Rhonda Moore, Sofia Massey, Debby Schovajsa, Lyndsey Vasek, Kayla Peters, and Kristen Vandever.
The charity funding event and all member meeting was held on May 8, 2023 at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center where funds were distributed.
