The SG2C celebrated Mother’s Day with honoring the mothers in attendance with a carnation. It was a beautiful service honoring the hard working moms.
SG2C held a prayer vigil on Friday, May 10. They had members coming and going. Some stayed for long times others came and went. There was no particular time frame. They concentrated on praying the devil back. They were in full prayer warfare.
Out and About
Kathy Chlumsky was out and about recently. Kathy slipped away to Katy to see the final school orchestra performance for grandson, Conner Dong. While there she enjoyed an early Mother’s Day with daughter Jennifer Dong and her family. Kathy is very proud of her other grandson Hunter Dong, who participated in his first state wrestling championship and placed third in state.
Following Kathy’s visit to Katy she took off for Lake Charles to surprise her mom, Nelda Lamb who was defiantly surprised. They got to enjoy some wonderful quality time together. That was really extra special since Kathy does not get to visit as often as she would like. They got to enjoy an early Mother’s Day dinner with Kathy’s sister and her husband, Debbie and Gary David.
Jennifer Rightmer had a full Mother’s Day weekend. Jennifer’s daughter Lane Rightmer came in from Waco for the weekend and son Reed Rightmer arrived on Sunday to celebrate his mom. Jennifer also had her sister Julie Zavala join them for a weekend in the country away from Georgetown. It was a full weekend of catching up and eating.
Dana Kulak along with husband Darrell; niece Erica Field; and dad Devon Boehnke all traveled away for a big Mother’s Day gathering at Washington on the Brazos with the rest of the family. They enjoyed all kinds of games, exploring and just visiting for a fun filled day.
School Out
It is that time of year again where school is ending and summer is beginning. Please drive carefully in the area. Kids will be out and about more, so watch out for youngsters that might be in places you normally would not expect them.
Weather
Muldoon has been seeing some stormy weather recently. Rain and strong winds have come through the area several times. On Mother’s Day, a quick strong rain shower fell in parts of the Muldoon area. This has been great for the grass and has kept the temperatures in check.
