Stray Dogs And Cats Present A Health Hazard

Stray dogs and cats running at large present a health hazard for Fayette County citizens. Spay and neuter is the only way to manage the stray, unwanted dog and cat population. The Gardenia E. From Jan. 1, 2022, through Aug. 4, 2022, total intake was 837. As of Aug. 4, 2023, total intake is 1061: 502 dogs and 559 cats in need. As of Aug. 4, the shelter has 114 animals in care: 53 dogs/61 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.
