St. Rose Students Visit TCHCC

St. Rose 6th graders had an educational day visiting the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange on Tuesday, Nov. 28. The day began in the new church just established on the grounds. In class this year, students have learned to pray the “Hail Mary”/Zdravas Maria and say the Sign of the Cross in Czech, so they were able to showcase their unique talent. They learned so much from the educational videos, library, museum, and various hands on activities in the village. A delicious homemade chicken noodle soup, chicken salad and pimento cheese sandwich lunch was provided. Students enjoyed kolaches at “svacina” (snack time) and “obed” (lunch).
